Jackie, by Steve Engle
Lyrics

From the young people of our country, an open letter to our first lady.
Please take good care of him, Jackie,
for his future is ours.
Now in this world of crises
help him through darkest hours.
Show him that we’re behind him
to make the whole world free.
So please take good care of him Jackie
Guard our democracy.
Now in history’s darkest hour
let him know that he is never alone.
Though we’re young and burden free,
our concern is liberty for mankind.
Never let America’s sacred ideals dim
For Jackie, it’s up to him.
Take good care, Jackie. Please take good care, Jackie. Please take good care, Jackie.
Don’t ask what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country.
